about
This song is a banger. It's a tiny bit psych, a little 90s grunge, some scrappy punk, all rock, and it slaps. It was a last minute add-on while tracking our next release (Singles EP, March 2020). I started a new riff and everything pent-up rose to the surface - "Pressure's building! Pressure's building!" - a brand new song I wasn't planning on writing poured out. "Wanna Feel Good" is about that pressure and the vices and rituals used to relieve it and get you through to fight another day.
lyrics
I wanna feel good, I wanna feel good
Got too much stuff on my plate
Pressure is building up in my head
And there’s something telling me it’s too late, it’s too late!
Ooh, Ooh, Pressure’s building, pressure’s building
Ooh, Ooh, Pressure’s building, pressure’s building
I wanna feel good, I wanna feel good
My insides all tied in a knot
Pressure is building deep in my guts
And I try to turn it off but I can’t turn it off!
Oooh, Pressure’s building, pressure’s building
Oooh, Pressure’s building, pressure’s building
Oooh, bet I know how I can fix it
Oooh, bet I know how I can fix it
Just one more that’s all I need and then I’m going home
And then I’m going home
Hey boy come stand next to me, I wanna take you home
I wanna take you home
I just need some sweet release, I’m never going home, never going home
I just need some sweet release, I’m never going home, never going home
I wanna feel good I wanna feel good
Take a break to clear out my head
This pressure will kill me slowly and painfully
I never meant to be dead dead Dead DEAD!
Oooh, Pressure’s building, pressure’s building
(Oooh, bet I know how I can fix it)
Oooh, Pressure’s building, pressure’s building
(Oooh, bet I know how I can fix it)
Just one more that’s all I need and then I’m going home
And then I’m going home
Hey boy come stand next to me, I wanna take you home
I wanna take you home
I just need some sweet release, I’m never going home, never going home
I just need some sweet release, I’m never going home, never going home
